Designing Hope: Biophilia’s Role in Creating Healing Habitats for those Most in Need

This interactive session will address how biophilic principles can be utilized to create healing habits and how best to incorporate biophilic design into all phases of programming, design and construction.  The session will explore how taking an "eco-system" approach to integrating nature, natural systems & processes holistically with human created systems can positively impact prisons, eldercare facilities, blighted neighborhoods, homeless shelters and refugee encampments.
