Alfonso started his career at the French building research center in 2005 and remained there until 2010. Alfonso served as Board Director of United Nations Environment Program - Sustainable Building and Climate Change initiative- from 2009 to 2010 and as Secretary General of the Sustainable Building Alliance, from 2008 to 2010. He then joined Deloitte in Paris and headed the sustainability in Real Estate practice in France for a number of years. After relocating to London where he worked for JLL’s Corporate Solution Unit he joined Foster + Partners. Alfonso is a LEED AP [BD+C/ ND], BREEAM Assessor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Alfonso was the first non-American member of the LEED Steering Committee at the USGBC where he served for 4 years.
