A native of the borderlands, Viviana Frank is a first-generation American and the child of immigrants from Mexico City. She sees her role as an architect and a city-maker as one in the same, having dedicated her time, effort, and expertise to solution and implementation-based leadership. Her successes are rooted in her belief that the culture and unique history of Laredo deserve preservation and investment. Her interactive process of engagement with the right and responsibility of citizens to determine the kind of city they want and need has empowered advocates to create a more vibrant, diverse, equitable and sustainable community.
